Tasked for handling the org’s funds and taking care of our wonderful beneficiaries (KIDS), the finance committee is composed of the smartest, hardworking and cutest people in JMA. We have proven time and time again through our events and projects that the committee delivers quality, style and innovation. Don’t be deceived with our laid back image because our wild side lies within. With finance, there are no half bets. All in. All the time. Money in the bank.

TEAM SPC

The Special Projects Committee brings together the best minds of the Finance committee so they can conceptualize and realize an event that will not only raise funds for UP JMA’s scholars in the Kids Integrated Development through Schooling (KIDS) Program, but also give UP JMA the chance to show its creativity in event concepts. SPC proves that you can make money and have fun at the same time! Past projects include Overdrive: Battle of the Rock Bands (a Rock Band competition), Buy Pinoy (a charity bazaar) and Musika Manila (a retro musical event).

TEAM KIDS

To UP JMA, the word “KIDS” means more than just “children”. More significantly, it is an acronym that stands for “Kids Integrated Development Through Schooling”. As an organization that subsidizes the education of 25 children, the Finance Committee has dedicated an entire team to ensure the welfare of its scholars-Team KIDS. Tasked with supplementing the education the organization provides, Team KIDS spearheads at least two KIDS day-out events per semester, both of which target the physical and social development of the children. Team KIDS also prides itself in being an embodiment of one of UP JMA’s four thrusts-service.

TEAM FUNDS

Team Funds is a team of five directors organized under the UP JMA Finance Committee. Its main task is to keep track of the organization’s financial records and lead in the liquidation of xdeals. The team involves itself in the process of recruitment and reaffirmation done at the beginning of each semester to help settle accounts of members with amount receivable. Fund raising types and schedules are also monitored by the team to avoid conflict and competition between teams or committees that will hold such events.

The team itself conducts a fund raiser every Christmas in the form of carolling. The goal of such activity is to contribute to the organization’s funds for its main beneficiary, the KIDS program.
